A co-worker of mine who lives in Orlando, FL, is married to a Pinay and his father-in-law is a HUGE Pacman fan. They get all the pay per views, cook all the yummy filipino food and make a party out of his fights. They were saying that Mayweather “avoids all the top fighters”. I don’t follow boxing as much as I used to (I follow UFC/MMA more) but…[Read more]

Ok. Got it. Yeah, dunno. If Marvin is a STR member, he might want to post a message. I saw a Chesebro Ride Report posted this weekend so I know folks were out there. Maybe a post out on Craigslist as well. Man, that sucks. I hope Marvin can locate it. If you tell me what trail, I can keep a look out (don’t worry, I won’t keep it if I find it, as I…[Read more]

XT, what trail? My buddies and I rode Backbone this weekend but none of us found a Garmin…just a piece of a chain protector.

  • Not sure why my comments double-posted. Sorry. Sandstone sounds like fun. We’ll definitely do Backbone again. I had about 4 min of miscellaneous video recording (nothing too technical) I did on my Canon Point-n-shoot camera so I decided to pull it into iMovie on my Mac and clean it up a little. Here’s the result 🙂 http://bit.ly/7lEiL6

  • Thanks Ron for the info. XT supplied me two links with trail info. One was for Backbone to Sandstone but opted for Backbone to Corral Canyon. We didn’t know what to expect and we figured if we got lost, we got lost together. I got as much recon info as I could (study, study) and also downloaded the GPX file for the trail from venturacountytrails…[Read more]

  • Hey Jason. Yeah, I remember you. Good to see you here as well. We still need to get together and ride. How’s your Giant Trance? One of my riding buddies just got a brand new Giant Trance X3 and he loves it.

This is the one I have use: http://bit.ly/7PyZJW It fits nicely on the horizontal strap on my Camelbak that goes across my chest. It’s a hardshell so it has a little better protection than just a neoprene case. I got it at Walmart for about $10.

That’s awesome! Good to see my peeps on the trails. I hope to do a ride with UA riders in the near future.

I have the RockGardn Landing Zone knee/shin guards. I read a lot of good reviews and knowing RockGardn is a reputable brand, I bought them from Pricepoint: http://bit.ly/4JeDMi. These guards are great for a couple of reasons:a.) Light and they fit in my Camelbak Blowfish (if we do a lot of climbing before we downhill)b.) It’s open so you don’t…[Read more]
